INGREDIENTS TO MAKE BLUEBERRY CREAMED HONEY:

HOW TO MAKE BLUEBERRY CREAMED HONEY:

  1. Mix 1 part crystallized honey to 1 part liquid honey. So, if you add 1 cup of crystallized honey, also add 1 part liquid honey.
  2. With a whisk attachment on a stand mixer or with a hand mixer. Mix for 20 minutes on medium speed. Lifting up the whisk periodically to incorporate air into the honey.
  3. After 20 minutes, let sit at room temperature, covered, for 1 hour.
  4. After 1 hour has elapsed, mix again at medium speed for 20 more munutes.
  5. Add blueberry syrup to the creamed honey.
  6. Your blueberry creamed honey is now ready to be stored in jars. If kept in the fridge, blueberry creamed honey will stay good for up to 6 months but could possibly keep well indefinitely. If you are not sure, smell and observe the honey to see that it has quality traits and has no off putting smells are appearance.

NOTE: Aside from blueberry flavored creamed honey, there is a plethora of flavors that you can add to creamed honey that is so delicious!

NOTE: You will see air bubbles surface in your honey. This is a normal part of the process.

  • For every cup of honey add 1/8 cup of blueberry syrup

Notes

  • There are many flavors you can add to creamed honey to flavor it!
  • The sky is the limit as far as these flavors are concerned! You can add cinnamon, chocolate, strawberry syrup etc. There are many things you can add!
  • The honey will act to preserve the blueberries.
  • Blueberry creamed honey should stay good in the refrigerator for at least 6 months but it it is possible for it to keep indefinitely. After 6 months, check to make sure there are no off putting smells, tastes, or appearances to your blueberry honey. If it checks out, it should be just as good as the day you made it.
